Life has so much to offer
In 2017, TJ was invited to join the Board of Directors for the 12.14 Foundation.
The 12.14 Foundation was formed following the tragedy of December 14, 2012, when 26 lives were violently taken at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. This was an unspeakable trauma that affected many individuals in our community. The following summer, our organization set out to provide the community’s youth with hope and a way forward.
Our Foundation provides funding and organizational support to various community based programs. Specifically, we have developed a comprehensive, evidence-based character development curriculum, offering an emotional tool kit that equips children with the life skills needed to help them rise above and go beyond, even in the most difficult of challenges.
Currently the 12.14 foundation supports two programs, NewArts & Arc. These programs were developed by the foundation and provides children with opportunities to recognize and develop their strengths, build confidence and effectively manage their emotions.
The mission of the organization is to build a culture of resilience, self-expression, learning & perseverance. We provide kids the tools they need to overcome the many faces of adversity and communities a pro-active method for creating inclusive, experienced based character development programs.
This mission encapsulates who TJ is and how he leads his life each day.
